Jaroslav Kulhavy has extended cooperation with his personal partner Strabag Company, one of the most important in the field of transport engineering, building constructions and civil engineering. It has been supporting Jaroslav since 2012, now up to 2020.
“I am very glad that I can confirm that we have prolonged cooperation with my strongest long-term partner, Strabag Company. This year is turning for me because of the domestic World Championship and defending the Olympic Gold. I´ve been thinking a lot what will come then and if it´s not enough of my racing…Especially after the injury early in the season I was wondering, how long I would be racing. And when I met my Strabag partners during my convalescence, they offered me to continue our cooperation, which gave me at the moment great motivation and made my decision easier. Now I am sure that I can continue in the top cycling for another 4 years, no matter in what team or what discipline. It´s also a great motivation for me to find a new challenge!” added Jara to cooperation.
Just one week after Jaroslav entered again the World Cup on the fourth place in Albstadt, he finished the fifth in the next race of the serial, this time on the challenging natural track in La Bresse.
“The French bikers rode perfectly today, that´s for sure,” paid Jara the home bikers a compliment. After the winning Julien Absalon, there were other two-Marotte and Koretzky.
“I am satisfied, especially on this kind of a track which I do not like. The main thing is that I didn´t fall anywhere, because the terrain was very slippery. I have the points and my performance looks good. I was riding in a good feeling especially at the end. There was no point in risking for the fourth place. I was sure that Nino would over-jump me in the downhill. The downhills were decisive here. When I caught ahead someone slower, it was not possible to overtake him. I caught Giger in such a way in the second round and it meant 25seconds down. I was careful then, but I definitely wasn´t the fastest and I was loosing in the downhills,” added Jara who moved in the running WC standing to the seventh place, although he didn´t pass the opening race in Australia.

Jaroslav carried out an excellent entry to the World Cup in German Albstadt after being injured. On the track which he didn´t like so much he finished the fourth in his first big race after the injury in March.
“Although I don´t like the track here so much I am satisfied with the result. I think it was a super race and everything is returning to its right place”, said Jaroslav after the race. ”I had no idea what was my form like, because I have lost some training. That’s the reason, why I was riding more carefully. There was no sense to ride more, Marotte was strong and I wouldn´t manage to compete with him for the third place. The guy from the BMC looked weaker but I didn´t want to risk especially in the downhills. The forth place was at the moment great for me and important in terms of points,” commented the Olympic Winner his performance.
