Jaroslav Kulhavy is preparing on Mallorca

A numerous group of our top cyclists has left for the initial winter training camp on Mallorca. The riders of the Viktor Zapletal´s training group, the Olympic winner Jaroslav Kulhavy and the Paralympic winner Jiri Jezek are joined by other athletes, Jan Skarnitzl, Matous Ulman and also by young talented riders Barbora Prudkova, Adelka Safarova, Jan Vastl and Matej Prudek.

„We have been organising the training camps of my group so that the most successful riders could participate in training together with the young talented cyclists. The experience they can get from such cycling personalities like Jara or Jirka are invaluable,” explains the idea of long term training the coach Viktor Zapletal and adds, “thanks to Dukla Prague the riders have on Mallorca an adequate comfort, including regeneration. I suppose that the group will pass three training blocks mainly focused on development of general endurance during the next 13 days. The team is fine, Jara had passed with Dr. Bolek the loading tests before leaving and he looks very good. Jiri Jezek had been fighting with the cold a little, but now he should be also fine and he is able to pass the planned training cycle without any limitation.”

The next training camp is scheduled for January.
