Jaroslav Kulhavy has confirmed his very good current shape and smoothly won the fourth race of the Strabag MTB Cross Country Czech Cup in Bedrichov. After winning the opening race in Teplice and the second place in Prague-Repy and after his absence at the race last week in Pec pod Snezkou, Jaroslav is wearing the yellow jersey of the serial race leader again.
“I was riding pretty good, the rivals weren´t naughty too much and made it a bit easier for me. The course was technical and after the start I quickly built up a lead and then I used my good shape, riding in a good mood, without risking although there were several dangerous and very slippery places on the course,” said Jaro in the finish.
Jaro has taken today´s muddy race and practically the whole weekend as training. “I have taken todays and yesterdays race Kolo pro život in Orlik as a warming up before the Marathon World Championship, although this time, the race for rainbow stripes is not a big goal for me. The track in Italy has extreme parameters and due to the elevation of 4700m in 87km it will suit pure climbers. I have started the XC World Cup very well. It will continue in Switzerland just one week after the Marathon Championship so I haven´t been concentrated on the marathon preparation so much,” added Jaroslav.
